Acinotech (Pty) Ltd is a spin-off company born out of a collaboration between the University of Cape Town's African Robotics Unit, and the Division of Exercise Science and Sports Medicine's Biomechanics Laboratory. Our mission is to make biomechanics analysis tools more accessible - whether you're a clinician or coach, roboticist or veterinarian, athlete or otherwise!
A world leader in animal biomechanics research, Amir has an extensive background in motion capture and movement analysis, as well as embedded systems and robotics.
Yumna is an internationally-recognised human biomechanics researcher, and has a background in exercise science and chronic disease management. Her work on muscle activity measurement and neuromuscular control has garnered international acclaim.
Devin has a background in mechatronics, machine learning and embedded systems. He has a broad spectrum of software development experience, and is passionate about mechanical design.
